The roots of AFC Warszawa can be traced back to 2013 with our Saturday Kickabout (formally Hobby Kicker!). This was started by our now club president Rich Harrison and grew over the years to the point where we were bringing together nearly 40 people each week who just wanted to play football and meet new people in the city. This continues until this day ( Sign up if you want to play! ) and during the last 10 years we have organised tournaments that have attracted teams from all over Poland and overseas.
History of club
Fast forward to 2021, to when AFC Warszawa was founded and 2022 saw The Knaves begin to compete in Klasa B. Now playing in the amber of Hull City and claret of Burnley FC their debut season saw a solid start and a mid-table finish. The club will continue to grow making AFC Warszawa the home of football for all nationalities in Warsaw.

Hobby Kicker is born
Our very first kickabout has just happened. We had a great turn out and it was a success from the very start. This becomes a weekly event.

The first ‘organsied’ match and we’re on the road to Wrocław. A good day and night had by all…
Our 6-aside team, FC Foreigntina, is formed and are still playing in the Elit Liga business league.
OUR FIRST TOURNAMENT
We hold our first tournament which leads to many more in the coming years.
This is the start for teams from around the world to join us for great days, and nights…
11 a-side games begin
Not satisfied with the 6-a-side scene we started to play friendly 11-a-side games with FC Dragoons from Krakow. This becomes an annual fixture with AFC going to Krakow and hosting return fixtures.
AFC Warszawa is born
We take the leap, we register the team, and on the 5th July 2022 we find out that we have been accepted and registered into Klasa B, Grupa Warszawa III.
Our first game is against Unia II Warszawa and best of all, it ends with a win for us. We take all 3 points after winning 1-0.
We finish our first season
There were a lot of ups and downs but we made it, we finished our first season in Klasa B. It ended with us in a respectable position in mid table.
Let’s see what the future holds
We aren’t sure where the club will go. All we do know is that a lot of football will be played, new players will join us and we’ll keep on enjoying the game we love…
